They also offer prescription and non-prescription sunglasses as well, and offer a large selection on everything. If you are looking to go to one place for everything this seems like a good provider to choose from.

Tony from Trenton, NJ
"I was looking to replace a 14 year old pair of Ray Bans, but I did not want to spend New York area prices. I found your site along with many others, but after calling a few companies I decided to give you a try and I could not be happier. The person I talked with (Mikki) was very knowledgeable on the products and she got me just what I wanted (and fast) at an "outstanding" price. I saved about $50 on my sunglasses and I would not hesitate to order from you again. Thanks for the "excellent customer service."

New Contact Lens Measure Pressure

As you may already know, Glaucoma is caused from build up of pressure within the eye. Glaucoma is also the leasing cause of blindness worldwide. New smart contacts could be made possible to measure pressure within the eye by using a new material developed by biomedical engineers at UC Davis.

The idea started with a material called polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Researchers then developed a method for placing powdered silver on the PDMS in a precise pattern, to create conductive wires. After doing this scientists were able to create a contact lens shape which then could be used to measure the pressure of the eye.

This is pretty amazing, and the new technology sounds like it will help uncover the mystery of Glaucoma and help provide better treatment.

Britain's Olympic Hockey Team Seeing Red

Great Britain's Olympic hockey team, who are currently based in Macau, Hong Kong, have been testing out red colored contact lenses to give them an edge in the Olympics by improving their vision. The eyewear is supposed to help in bright conditions that may ordinarily cause glare.

Skipper Kate Walsh said, "They're like sunglasses, but as a contact lens, so it just prevents glare. Both the goalkeepers like to wear them and a couple of the girls do on a really bright day so you're not squinting a lot, which can cause headaches."

But, brightness might not be a problem in the Olympics. Blankets of smog cover Beijing, reducing visibility to a mere few hundred meters. Despite this however, at such a high level of competition that the Olympics provides, any potential added benefit can give one the added edge one needs to succeed.
